THANK YOU to the Milton GOP volunteers who came together to build and walk with our float in the July 4 parade.
The banners on the float commemorate three important dates in 1775 in the War for Independence.
March 23 – Patrick Henry proclaims, "Give me liberty or give me death!" during the Second Virginia Convention in Richmond
May 10 – The capture of Fort Ticonderoga, the first major victory for Colonial forces in the war.
June 15 – George Washington named Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army. He was 43.
Next year will be the 250th anniversary of our Declaration of Independence. Let's build something even better next year!
